Privacy Policy for BitShape
Effective date: September 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the BitShape mobile application for Android and iOS (the “Application”), provided by Jerry Bit (the “Service Provider”). The Application is provided as a free service and is intended for use as is.
Information Stored on Your Device
BitShape does not require an account. Your projects, layers, canvas data, and app settings are stored locally on your device.
When you choose to import an image or project file, the Application accesses only the item you select and processes it on your device. BitShape does not upload your artwork, imported images, or project files to the Service Provider or to Firebase.
When you export, save, or share an image or project, the Application sends it only to the destination you choose, such as your photo library, file storage, or another app through the operating system’s share sheet. The privacy practices of that destination are governed by its own policy.
You can delete locally stored projects within the Application. Uninstalling the Application removes its locally stored data, subject to the backup and retention behavior of your device and operating system.
Information Collected Automatically
The Application uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics on Android and iOS to understand feature usage, improve performance, and diagnose errors.
Depending on the service and platform, automatically collected information may include:
- App interactions, screen views, feature usage, and event timestamps
- Non-content project attributes, such as canvas dimensions, layer counts, pixel counts, selected tool or shape, and whether an operation succeeded or failed
- App version, operating system, device model, language, and general device characteristics
- Installation identifiers, including Firebase installation identifiers and Crashlytics installation identifiers
- Crash reports, stack traces, app state, and technical error messages
- IP address, which may be processed for service delivery, security, and approximate geographic information
BitShape does not intentionally send the contents of your artwork, imported images, exported files, project names, contact information, or precise location to Firebase. The Application does not use Firebase data for cross-app advertising and does not sell personal information.
Firebase may process data on Google infrastructure in various countries. Crashlytics generally retains crash reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems. Other analytics and service data is retained according to the Service Provider’s Firebase settings and Google’s applicable terms and policies.
Third-Party Services
The Application uses third-party services that process information under their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics — Android and iOS
- Google Play Services — Android only
The Service Provider may disclose information when required by law, when reasonably necessary to protect the rights or safety of users or others, to investigate fraud or abuse, or to trusted service providers that process information on the Service Provider’s behalf under appropriate obligations.
Permissions and User-Initiated Access
BitShape may request access to photos, files, or media only when you choose an import, save, export, or sharing feature. This access is used to complete the action you request. The Application does not collect precise location, contacts, health information, or financial information.
Data Choices and Requests
You can control local project data by deleting projects in the Application or uninstalling the Application. You can also manage photo, file, and media permissions in your device settings.
For questions or requests concerning data associated with the Application, contact the Service Provider at jerrytheconqueror913@gmail.com. Because BitShape does not require an account, the Service Provider may not be able to associate Firebase data with a specific person or installation.
Children’s Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through the Application, contact the Service Provider so appropriate action can be taken.
Security
The Service Provider uses reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information processed in connection with the Application. Firebase encrypts data in transit using HTTPS and applies its own security controls. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Application after a change means the updated policy applies to your use of the Application.
